China stocks stage rebound from eight month low BEIJING, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares rebounded Monday after dropping to an eight-month low on the previous close.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.39 percent to close at 2,698.76 points. The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 1.16 percent to 10,264.05 points. Total turnover shrank to 168.48 billion yuan (24.68 billion U.S. dollars) from 192.93 billion yuan on the previous trading day. Losers outnumbered gainers by 464 to 395 in Shanghai and 610 to 300 in Shenzhen.
