China's Steel Imp. & Exp. Steadily Up in Q1st 2011 According to China Customs statistics, in the first quarter of 2011, China exported 10.51 million tons of steel products with a value of USD 10.43 billion, respectively up 20.7% and 55.1% year-on-year; the average export price reached USD 993.1 per ton, up 28.5% year-on-year.
Over the same period, China imported 4.186 million tons of steels with a value of USD 5.46 billion, respectively up 1.9% and 17.6% year-on-year; the average import price reached USD 1,303 per ton, up 15.4% year-on-year.
